Final Project: Still Image Video

Introduction   Hello everyone and welcome back to my FINAL blog post! I'm so sad this will be my final post, as the year comes to a close, I would like to thank my professor and peers for all their guidance and feedback. They have really helped me improve my Adobe Skills and now the video your about the watch will be the best it's ever been! What I've Changed   In order to make my still image video as memorable as possible, I knew I needed to critique some things. The changes I made werent too time-consuming. It's the little things that make a huge difference and that overall, improve any type of film. 1) Animations - Rotations, Scales, Opacity, Oh My!  While adding text to images make a story more clear(especially for our deaf audiences), animating the text in how it appears on the screen captures attention from all eyes. I used the rotation and scale tool to indicate when and where I want the text to appear on the image I indicate. I used these tool...

Forum 5: Visual Commincation

Introduction:  Hey guys and welcome back to my blog! I've missed you all. During my time off I have been working on some minor (but very beneficial) changes to my audio story. I got to explore Adobe Premiere even more and learn how to make my audio story so special. I am looking forward to create more films in the future using this software because Ive really enjoyed being trained in it and seeing all my work come to life! Adobe Priemere This software is apart of the Adobe Cloud. As I mentioned briefly in my last post, Priemere is used to bring your stories to life by adding video for audiences who have the ability too see. For those who are blind, your audio is as important to your visuals. You want to make sure your audio captures them and makes them want to continue listening just as much as your visuals. This final project has been very rewarding and informational due to all the details that I have to keep in mind to make sure my story attracts both audiences. It i...

Still Image Video

Welcome Back!  Long time no see! These past few weeks I've been working on Adobe Premiere. Priemere is apart of the Adobe Cloud and is a way to bring your stories to life. This application allows you to add pictures and videos along with audio all at once. This application also allows you to add video transitions and graphics to help your viewers follow along more closely to your story. I had fun add pictures / creating my own b-roll for my still image video along with finding pictures online that made my story more cohesive. I do want to improve on adding more horizontal images and learn how to have pictures be in the background as well so there's no double vertical bars behind my photos. Other than that, I really enjoyed animating for the world to see! Don't forget to comment down below! See you next time :)

My Audio Story

Welcome back! For this blogpost, I wanted to share my Audio Story with you all. My Audio Stories theme is "Not to Judge A Book, Especially if its a Guy, By the Cover". This is relating back to my friend Emily, whos full story is on my Souncloud thats also attached below! Audio Story  Below is my Audio Story. I recap on Emily's story along with interviewing some experts on why Emily felt so passionate about her mystery man so quickly, only realizing he wasn't exactly the best guy for her.

The Process of Creating my Audio Story

Introduction     Last week, you heard my friend Emily describe her encounter with a man on an airplane.  If you want to hear that one of a kind story again, click the link below! Emilys story contains one of those life lessons that reminds us all we really shouldn't judge a book by it’s cover ( especially if its a guy). Audio Story Topic  My audio story topic is ‘Don’t judge a book by it’s cover’. I am going to interview a couple people who have had some experience in this department and share their advice on this blog in the coming weeks. Characters and Experts    As a reminder, Emily is one of my closest friends here at High Point University. A few months ago she met her 'mystery man' while on an airplane flying back home to Maryland from Florida. Normally people don't like having a middle seat on an airplane. Luckily for Emily, her seat assignment gave her the opportunity to meet the guy of her dreams.... or so she thought. Expert #1 ...

Emily's Mystery Man :)

Introduction    This is the story of how my friend Emily met her dream man, or so she thought, on a plane ride home to Maryland from her spring break trip to Florida last year. This was not her average plane ride.   Process     Emily is one of my best friends, so I really enjoyed getting to interview her and hearing about this exciting one of a kind ‘almost in love’ story. Of course, Im excited to share it with all of you! In order to trim Emilys story from 5 minutes down to 1 minute,  I went in waveform in Adobe Audition and  used the razor tool to help  reduce the duration of the audio clip. While I really enjoyed her raw and unedited version, I focused on preserving the real essence of her story while at the same time observing the targeted (approximately) one minute length. The marker tool allowed me to mark certain sections in the clip so I knew where to use the razor tool. The razor tool in Adobe Audition was really cool to work ...

Are Chatbots Becoming More Human?

Radio Lab Podcast: More of Less Human     I listened to a Radio Lab podcast titled “More or Less Human”.  This podcast was designed to build awareness with listeners about what chatbots are and how they may be interacting with them more often than they previously thought. In the podcast, Brian Christian gives a precise definition of what a chatbot is by explaining how its a "computer program that exists to mimic and impersonate human beings.   For example, if you are online shopping and see a box that says "Need to Chat?", you automatically assume that you'll be talking to an online human representative. Contrary to popular belief, you may actually be communicating with a chatbot.  I found the podcast to be super interesting and has me wondering how often I might be talking to a machine and not a person when I'm online.    All four kinds of audio are heard in this podcast.     1. Interview Clips     One type of ...
