Introduction
Hello everyone and welcome back to my FINAL blog post! I'm so sad this will be my final post, as the year comes to a close, I would like to thank my professor and peers for all their guidance and feedback. They have really helped me improve my Adobe Skills and now the video your about the watch will be the best it's ever been!
What I've Changed
In order to make my still image video as memorable as possible, I knew I needed to critique some things. The changes I made werent too time-consuming. It's the little things that make a huge difference and that overall, improve any type of film.
1) Animations
- Rotations, Scales, Opacity, Oh My!
While adding text to images make a story more clear(especially for our deaf audiences), animating the text in how it appears on the screen captures attention from all eyes. I used the rotation and scale tool to indicate when and where I want the text to appear on the image I indicate. I used these tools very carefully and made sure I used these animations only where needed. One of my favorite animations I used was the opacity because the text I used for it was "hiding their identity". It made so much sense to use this tool because its made for disappearing/ reappearing text, I'm so funny! :) Anyways, I had a lot of fun learning all the animations in the "Effect Controls" bar in Adobe Premiere. I have really strengthened my editing skills and I'm looking forward to working more with this software next semester.
2) Video Transitions
In order to make smooth transitions from one clip or image to the text, video transitions are helpful because it makes your overall video more cohesive and not so abrupt when moving from clip to clip (or image to image) and look more professional. I also made sure not to add a video transition for every clip because that can look really cheesy. You only want to use transitions the same way as animations: wherever you see the best fit!
3) Color Enhancement
After watching my b-roll from my previous submissions, I wanted to make sure it really popped. I went into the Color section of Priemere and messed around with the image effects. Now looking at it, my b-roll has a stronger effect and I hope you all enjoy it!
Things to work on
Although I really enjoyed my final project, I know there's still room for improvement. Theres so much more to explore! I am hoping to learn how to better enhance the quality of my photos and b-roll along with learning what types of music are best for certain scenes.
Heres the final product! Thanks again for reading my posts :)
Till next time,
